Sustainability in e-Commerce Production with Forward Thinking Fashion Brands

At LRP, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do—from the brands we partner with to the practices in our sustainable photography studio. As the fashion industry moves towards a more eco-conscious future, we are proud to support brands leading the charge, including Stella McCartney, Axel Arigato, and On Running. Alongside them, we continue to strive for greener, more sustainable practices in fashion content production.

As a carbon-neutral photography studio, we’ve taken concrete steps to reduce our environmental impact, ensuring that every piece of content we produce aligns with the core values of sustainable fashion. By collaborating with leading eco-friendly brands, we create visuals that inspire change and promote eco-friendly studio practices.

Stella McCartney: A Pioneer in Sustainable Fashion

Stella McCartney has long been an advocate for sustainability, using materials like organic cotton and recycled polyester to reduce environmental impact. As one of the first luxury brands to embrace eco-friendly practices, McCartney leads by example, proving that luxury and sustainability can go hand in hand. Her entire production process, from sourcing to manufacturing, is designed to minimise the use of natural resources, reduce waste, and eliminate harmful chemicals.

Circularity is at the core of McCartney's mission. The brand actively promotes recycling and upcycling in their collections and encourages their customers to think about the life cycle of their clothing. By eliminating animal products and pioneering alternatives to leather and fur, Stella McCartney's collections are a testament to how high-end fashion can evolve to be kinder to the planet.

At LRP, we’re proud to play a role in McCartney’s sustainability mission by capturing her brand’s product imagery in our carbon-neutral photography studio. Through our photography, we ensure that each shot reflects the brand’s commitment to eco-conscious design while maintaining the luxurious aesthetic Stella McCartney is known for. Every detail in the product visuals, from the material textures to the overall design, is carefully highlighted to align with the brand’s eco-friendly narrative.

Axel Arigato: Merging Innovation and Sustainability

Axel Arigato, a Swedish footwear and fashion brand, is redefining modern fashion with sustainability at its core. Known for their sleek, minimalist designs, they incorporate eco-friendly materials such as organic cotton and recycled down. The brand has made significant progress in reducing its carbon footprint, with a goal to cut emissions by 80% in its direct operations by 2025, and to reduce product-related emissions by 30%.

Axel Arigato is committed to reducing the environmental impact of every stage of its production process, from sourcing to final delivery. They have introduced energy-efficient manufacturing techniques and have made a concerted effort to cut down on the use of virgin plastic. By prioritising renewable energy in their supply chain and reducing their reliance on non-sustainable materials, Axel Arigato is leading by example in the contemporary fashion scene.

We are proud to have collaborated with Axel Arigato, capturing their eco-conscious approach through high-quality, impactful visuals. Our work for Axel Arigato not only emphasises the elegance of their designs but also communicates their commitment to sustainable practices in every frame.

On Running: Innovating with Eco-Friendly Materials

On Running is known for its groundbreaking innovation in performance footwear, but the brand also places sustainability at the heart of its operations. On Running has taken significant strides in creating eco-friendly products, such as their Cyclon Program, which allows customers to recycle their running shoes in exchange for new pairs. This approach encourages a circular economy, reducing waste and minimising the brand's environmental impact.

The materials used in On Running’s shoes are another example of the brand’s forward-thinking approach. By incorporating bio-based materials and recycled components, they ensure that their products are not only high-performing but also kinder to the planet. With their CloudTec technology, On Running is not just setting standards for athletic performance but also showing how innovative design can go hand-in-hand with environmental responsibility.

LRP had the opportunity to work with On Running on a project that showcased their eco-friendly footwear in action. By capturing the movement, functionality, and sustainability of their products through our digital eCommerce content, we helped to communicate the core values of the brand to their audience.

Other Brands Making Strides Toward Sustainability

In addition to Stella McCartney, Axel Arigato, and On Running, other brands are beginning to make significant strides toward sustainability. Farah, for example, has started incorporating organic cotton into its collections, taking steps toward reducing its reliance on harmful materials. While they may still be on their journey towards full sustainability, their efforts represent a move in the right direction.

Similarly, Paul Smith has committed to using responsibly sourced materials in their timeless designs. As a brand known for its classic British style, Paul Smith understands the importance of creating clothing that lasts, both in terms of fashion and environmental impact. Through the use of sustainable fabrics and a focus on ethical production, they are contributing to the shift toward eco-friendly fashion.

Our visual content for these brands plays a crucial role in communicating their sustainable efforts to consumers. Through lookbooks, campaign images, and product photography, we help ensure that their sustainable practices are reflected in the imagery we produce.

Sustainable Photography Studio

At LRP, we’re as focused on reducing our own environmental impact as we are on supporting sustainable brands. Over the years, we have introduced a number of initiatives that have allowed us to minimise our carbon footprint while continuing to produce high-quality fashion content.

Carbon Neutral Certified

As a Carbon Neutral Britain™ certified business, LRP takes responsibility for its carbon emissions by offsetting through verified reforestation and renewable energy projects. This certification is not just a badge—it’s a commitment. Every project we take on at LRP is approached with sustainability in mind.

We see our carbon-neutral studio status as a key part of our long-term sustainability strategy. Whether it’s managing energy consumption in our studio or reducing the waste we produce during shoots, we are constantly looking for ways to improve and build a greener business model. By continuing to work with Carbon Neutral Britain™, we help fund important climate projects while staying on track with our own sustainability goals.

Fruitful Office: A Sustainable Partnership

We’ve partnered with Fruitful Office, a sustainable service that delivers fresh, locally sourced fruit to our studio while planting a tree for every basket delivered. Fruitful Office’s commitment to reducing food miles and supporting reforestation efforts makes it an ideal partner for LRP, as we seek to make our day-to-day operations as eco-friendly as possible.

By choosing Fruitful Office, we not only promote healthier lifestyles within our studio, but also contribute to global reforestation efforts, helping to offset carbon emissions and restore biodiversity in critical areas. It’s just one of the ways we’re ensuring that even the smallest details of our business are aligned with our sustainability mission.

Canned Drinks for Waste Reduction

In our efforts to minimise waste, we’ve replaced plastic bottled drinks with canned alternatives, which are easier to recycle. It’s a simple but effective change that aligns with our mission to reduce our studio’s environmental footprint. Every decision, no matter how small, plays a role in contributing to our overall sustainability goals.

Looking Forward

At LRP, we know that sustainability is an ongoing journey. Every project presents new challenges and opportunities to improve, and we are committed to continuously pushing ourselves toward greater sustainability. From exploring more eco-friendly suppliers to reducing waste on set, we believe that there is always room to innovate and adapt to a greener way of working.

Our vision for the future is clear: we aim to be industry leaders not just in the quality of our work, but in the sustainability of our business practices. By working with LRP, clients can trust that they are partnering with a studio that shares their commitment to a greener future for fashion.
